Skeleton Crew - Previsualization Reel
Visualization work is produced under NDAs (non-disclosure agreements) to protect client confidentiality. This reel features both final and previs versions of sequences and shots I contributed as a previs shot creator/animator highlighting my work in camera layout and animation for Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: Skeleton Crew (2024–2025). I was on the show for over five months with the same crew from The Mandalorian, Season 3, under visualization supervisor Mark Nelson. This was one of my favorite projects, my second Mercury show (The Third Floor’s Unreal Engine pipeline), collaborating with ILM’s volume, and retargeting mocap for a kid-proportion character rig. Due to the Release of Footage Agreement, this reel is required to be password-protected. To request password, please email don.m.kim.artist@gmail.com.

The 3D team at MAKE developed VFX shots based on the concepts and style frames provided by the client, Microsoft. As an 3D animation intern, I had the opportunity to handle one of the shots. I was responsible for modeling, texturing, layout, animation, camera work and butterfly FX, using 3DsMax and TyFlow for the first time. Unfortunately, due to changes in the client's vision, these shots did not make it into the final version.
